Starting a Second Session on 9/18/24

The first class filled up so fast that I am adding another session in conjunction with  Outschool and The RPG Club.

The holy city of Elturel has disappeared from the Forgotten Realms and descended into Avernus. This came about because of an infernal bargain between the devil Zariel, who rules Avernus, and the treacherous High Overseer of Elturel, Thavius Kreeg. Zariel is capturing cities and using their citizens as fodder in the ongoing conflict between demons and devils known as the Blood War. Next on Zariel’s list of cities is Elturel’s neighbor, Baldur’s Gate.

The Council of Ebreyon has convened in Arcanyca to discuss many things of interest to the member nations. One of the most pressing issues is the emergence of a 'new God' and the changes his presence has made to a nearby continent. His people, calling themselves the Unseen, have come to Ebreyon to tell of his coming. None of the most powerful beings in attendance have any idea about this God or his followers. They only know that his appearance has caused warfare to erupt in the region. The Continental Council must decide how to handle this potential threat. The most aggressive suggest sending troops, the most reclusive suggest doing nothing. The compromise position is to form an investigative team to learn the truth. 

Each member of this team will be hand-picked by their nation due to their loyalty and service. These agents may share an overarching goal, but each nation has their own plan to profit from this investigation. They must overcome long-running animosity, ancient feuds and betrayals from unexpected sources to grow into a team with a common goal.

Can they work together to find the truth about this usurper God and his Unseen followers? Will the politics of power aid them, get in their way as they unravel an ancient mystery? What secret will their investigation reveal that no one may be ready to hear?

Information: Homebrewed Campaign World (Aeramor), Political and religious themes explored in a fantasy world setting.

Requirements: Have a webcam and mic. I handle all the other tech. Consider allowing streaming on twitch. 

Learn to Play D&D: 

A Crash Course on Game Tools

Before you can swing the sword or sling the spell you have to know the game tools. I’m offering an introductory session to introduce brand new players to the tools I use in my one-shots and campaigns. We will start in Roll20 where we will gather to set up everything so everyone can see and hear what is going on. I’ll show you a sample battle map and explain how the platform functions. Then we will open D&D Beyond, create a 1st level character and go through all the menus and terminology. If we have time, we will use those characters in a short sample adventure just to get our feet wet with our new alter egos.

This event is meant for brand new players and people who may need a little help understanding Roll20 and D&D Beyond specifically. If this describes you just sign up for the workshop.
