John Kowalski prefers to be known first as a follower of Christ. He counts on the grace of Jesus to give him the strength and courage to be a better husband, father, and friend.

A small group of family, friends and coworkers know him as the creator of the world of Aeramor and game master of the Heavenly Places TTRPG Campaign that spawned this book series. He originally created the campaign to provide a place in which faith could merge with roleplaying resulting in wholesome fun for his family. Word of mouth grew the group to eleven regular players and several repeating guests.

The book spawned from the hijinks and adventures that ensued. He hopes that the fans of science fiction, fantasy, and roleplaying will enjoy the adventure and open themselves up to the Biblical aspects.

He also hopes that Christians can accept his assertion that faith doesn’t require complete avoidance of the world. He believes that everything we do is Coram Deo, in the presence of God, even playing a game or writing a book.

Like anything else in life, its value is determined by who gets the glory. In the case of my work, may any and all glory go to God.
